What we do
We are the best dog walkers and pet sitters in Sioux Falls area – just ask our clients!!
We take the work that we do at Lucky Pup Adventures very seriously. We are responsible for big things: the safety and welfare of our client’s pets and their homes while they are in our care. We are also the “Fun Aunts & Uncles” who get to play, walk, and have fun with a wide variety of different pets. We have high standards for our team members and our work because our clients are V.I.P.s (Very Important Pets), and we believe in creating a welcoming, supportive, and friendly work environment.

Successful Team Lucky Pup members are caring, dedicated, upbeat/positive, detail-oriented, quick learners, and can think on their feet. Ability to handle changes and frequent updates is also important to what we do.
Are we a good fit for you?
We think we have the best jobs ever, but there are some reasons you MIGHT NOT like to join Team Lucky Pup. These are in no particular order, but they are a few of the biggest reasons are work might not be a good fit for you:
- You don’t like changes. Our work schedules are often variable and require a level of flexibility. This is because we work when our clients need us! Our schedules are subject to change often based on changes in our clients’ schedules.
- Your availability changes frequently. Our Team members need to have a fairly predictable schedule. While we have flexibility in your scheduling to help you life a full and happy life, we also make commitments to our clients sometimes months in advance and we need to be able to follow through on those commitments. Because of that, short notice or frequent changes to a team member’s availability is not something we can accommodate.
- You are looking for more than supplemental income. Based on the fluctuating nature of our work and based on a your availability, we cannot guarantee a minimum amount of work each week.
- You are not available to work around the holidays or in the summer. We are our busiest during major holidays and from May-July. While we do rotate around the holidays to ensure team members can enjoy time off, we require team members to be available and be flexible to work during and around the holidays.
- You do not enjoy working independently. We are looking for people who enjoy working as part of a greater team with support just a phone call away, but can thrive working fully independently day-to-day.
- You don’t like being part of a team. We call ourselves Team Lucky Pup because we work as a team to provide exceptional, impeccable care for our VIP clients. Since all of our work is done solo, trust, communication, and dependability as a team are hugely critical in our work.
- You don’t like being outside in a variety of weather. Even when it is -10* and blowing snow or 90* with the sun shining, we are out working and visiting pets. They are counting on us to be there for them!
- You will occasionally have to clean up something disgusting. We deal with poop every day, vomit occasionally, and the odd major mess. Pet ownership is messy and we do what needs to be done to keep them happy and healthy while they are in our care.
